How do I clone a straight line with even separation?

I'm trying to create the dotted line for a road, a create one segment, then clone it in a straigt line, add separation but it is uneven... can't figure out whats going on... I mean, it totally looks like there is a "position jitter" automatically applied... ?

  Yes, with Duplicates there is always randomization. For even spacing, use the Clone Tool.

  Thanks Pookachoo! I honestly think there should be a jitter slider for position but clone tool it is..

  I'm not too sure about why this is happening to you. It may be a bug with pain strokes. Duplicates with sculptures are always evenly spaced for me. You might want to make a bug report for this.
