Want dark but starts bright. Why???
Im trying to make a cutscene in a very dark room. But for some reason while im working on it and playing/editing it, then it works fine. The scene is always dark.
BUT if i save and leave to menu and replay The scene later. It starts out bright and slowly fades to my dark settings. How do i get it to start dark always???

How are you darkening the room? Is it using the sun & sky gadget? Is that gadget powered from the start of the scene? Or is it in a timeline or delayed in some way?

One trick I use is to use a black background text displayer to cover the entire screen for a couple of seconds at the beginning, this gives Dreams time to dim the lights to your desired settings without being visible, just put it on a timer. Hope that helps

If you add a sky gadget to set the desired style/colour etc. from the start, then it will make sure the sky is correct from the first time the player sees it.

tapgiles i got it in the beginning of the scene. I tried it all lol from beginning of scene, to timeline, to even putting it on a timer and still does the dimming lights/sky in the beginning. Im going to do amenjo1 idea/trick seems like the best workaround atleast for me lol. I appreciate this thanks

Like TAP said, if you place a sun/sky gadget in a scene, the scene should load with it started. No transition should be visible. You definitely don't want it on a timeline or affected by any keyframes unless you want a transition. I would just plunk it anywhere in the scene. Not in a microchip, so you know it's not affected by any other logic.
I would also look for other sun/sky gadgets. Lots of people include them in their puppets and elements. So if you used something from the dreamerverse, there could be another one hidden somewhere, fighting against the one you placed.
Also, the wiper gadget is designed to turn the screen black, and will work much smoother for hiding transitions than using a text gadget. -
I got the sun/sky gadget in the scene. Its definitely something in my scene my people, somewhere lol. i used assets so probably scoped in somewhere but I did a baby work around it. I know cuz my next scene is perfect, so thanks everyone. Also will try/check the wiper gadget, still noob never heard bout it.
