Characters that have no torso or chest but still able to use the procedural animations.
I have characters that are food items like a hot dog which have no pelvis they are just kind of one object(hotdog) how can I rig it to a puppet heart but not have to animate custom walks .should I make invisible torso and chest so I can still use the default arm animations, or should I just use the leg default animations and use a custom animation for the arms? And I've tried to just stretch the puppet underneath my original sculpt (hotdog) but it doesn't always line up with the proportions of my sculpt ei where I need the legs and arms to be.

You don't need the chest for the arms to work.
You can press triangle on an object with connectors once. This will make connectors using that part glow, which means you can move connected objects around without messing with the purple joint position. You can also move one of the ends so that it hovers over a different object in the same scope, to make that new object the parent and the purple joint will move relative to the new parent instead.
So press triangle once on the chest. then move the yellows for the arm connectors down to the pelvis. Now delete the chest and... "belly"? And the arms should behave as normal but without the need for the chest at all. -
Hmm I'll try this but when I delete the chest and belly wont it mess up the link between the body parts? Because without the belly I cant assign the chest and without the chest it wont let me assign the arms and so on.

Ah, I see. I didn't know that would block the arms animations from working. Sorry about that.
You'll probably want to just scope the object into the chest then, so the arms line up nicely. If you're having trouble with stretching, press triangle once over a part. This makes the attached connectors glow. Now you can scale and move that part as you wish without messing with the connectors. Hope this helps.
