How do i make health consiste linked levels?

How do i make health consistent acrossed linked levels? I want my puppet to keep the current health as they go in to linked levels but i can't figure it out. I tried useing variable by connecting the current health output to variable moddifer and pluged variable in to the current health input, but it just hoes to zero. How do you do this? I know it can be done as i saw akinibey71's resident evil game do it. And hes not replying to my messes grr. Help?

  You need a persistent variable - did you click on persist in dream?

  thanks supposer ill take a look at it.
  
  ladylexuk the persist switch is not the problem I know that needs to be on. the problem is with how I hooked it up. when you put the variable on the current health it goes to zero and kills the puppet.

  Before the scene ends, use a Variable Modifier gadget to set a persistent variable to your current health.
  Then in the new scene, use a Variable Modifier gadget and set it to "get" the same variable, then pass the signal to the Health Manager in the new scene.
