How do I make a character swing from a rope?
So I want to make a character that can grab ropes to do things like swing over gaps & climb to higher or lower areas etc. Only I havent been able to figure out a way of doing this though. What I've got so far for my rope swing is a small ball attached to the ceiling via string with a pained line as my rope, at first I though of putting a teleporter on the ball with a tag on my charcter hoping to use that as a way to grab the rope. However when I press the button to grab the puppet just instantly sticks to the ball but doesn't allow any movement other than rotating, and the ball is in the center of the puppet. So then I tried putting the tag onto the puppet's hand to see if that would at least get it holding the ball, however doing that just makes the hand alone teleport while the rest of the body stays on the floor, and also doesn't return the hand after. So anyone know how to do anything like this yet?

You want to put the teleporter on the character's microchip and the tag on the ball. The widgets (shown when tweaking) on the teleporter and tag will show you the position that you are trying to match. Perhaps set the widget on the character's teleporter to be above their head. Activating the teleporter should now make the character position itself as if hanging beneath the ball. You can then keyframe the hands (or tentacles!?) to a position near the widget of the teleporter. Turn on the keyframe when you turn on the teleporter and it will look like the character is grabbing the ball. Eventually you'll want to have more than one rope. You can do this by only turning on the tag on the ball when a character is near to that ball. Add a triggerzone to the ball that looks for characters and wire it to the tag. The teleporter always targets the nearest tag with a matching name.

Thanks that works for getting my character to grab the rope, but I can't get him to move or swing anywhere. Just stays in position and rotates around.
