How do I precisely rotate in smaller increments than 45° when having the grid turned on.

  Hi, try using the precise move gadget for accurate rotation.
  
  The grid only works in 45 and 90.
  But don't forget you can use L1 and triangle while hovering over the object you've moved to align the grid to that, and then while holding anything press triangle to realign that to the current grid
