Is it possible to blend a keyframe animation into another object

I am trying to make an animated spring, one of the object is an extended spring and one is retracted, is there anyway i could make a time line that transforms an object into another

  Hi,
  
  You wouldn't be able to make them blend slowly or softly, that's a current limitation of Dreams.
  You can make a sculpt for each of the frames in between and change the visibility of them on and off as the previous poster mentions.
