Is there a way to get smoother transition or flow with the action recorder or keyframes?
Is there a way to get a smoother or steadier animation with action recorder or even keyframes? I wanna animate something flying or swimming and I’m looking for a smooth transition flow that’s not so obviously jittery from hands shaking.
No matter how hard I try to get a smoother flow it always looks shaky or jumpy from an action recorder and shows an obvious jump from frame to frame when using keyframes.

I’ve also knocked my sensitivity down to 0 and everything works fine with moves lining up with camera so it’s not that just Incase.

I’d like a way to smooth out the noise, but could you try making a little dolly for smooth tracking movements? Like a little Lego car and put the move controller on top to keep the movement smooth?
Is there any way to record movement and pipe it through a signal manipulator to smooth it out? -
Hi.
On keyframes if you place them on a timeline in series you can tweak them to blend in time and/position to make them ultra smooth.
With an action recorder you can half press R2 when recording to smooth things out a bit.

Hey John I’ve tried tweaking my animation like that man, but the thing is the ball joints don’t play well with the timeline blend options or just the timeline in general. I’m not sure what I’m doing but I’ve tried so many different ways and still can’t get the results I need.
Maybe the question I should be asking is how do I get my wings on the subject that I’m animating to not go all over the plac. It seems even if I lay out the ball joints correctly and start animating the wings or really anything that requires movement in the form of swaying or flapping it just breaks apart or doesn’t look right whatsoever.
Could we please have a tutorial or stream discussion on this in the future preferably before the beta runs out? -
Are you using the action recorder, or keyframes? Keyframes will remove the jitter you're talking about, as it's just placing the arms/joints/whatever where you want them, and then you can add smooth transitions between every placement. Hell, if you REALLY want it to be exact, you could use a keyframe for every 'frame' and then use linear transitions to make it look perfect!

Hey Lombax thanks a lot for that advice man. Ye I’m actually using both but keyframes does seem to keep things more steady especially the main body part ie torso, it just feels a bit more tedious which is understandable trying to get that smooth transition however with action recorder I can get a quicker animation but at the cost of the shaky hands and jitter, not at all I want so my focus will be keyframes for this particular thing.
The main issue I’m having with keyframes is using anything that connects with balljoints or other connectors like the string or elastic. Ball joints are great to get that direct motion I’m looking for but for some reason my sculpt pieces get thrown all out of wack sometimes during animation and I don’t know the cause of it and I have to stop animating and readjust what got messed up and continue animation.
It would be a lot easier to show a video of what I’m talking about.
