How do I prompt to close on a text box?
There is an output for the finished text but I cant find an input to finish the text. How do I display the text box which is closed when a button is pressed. The instructions talk about a "prompt to close" but I dont know how to set that or where it is.

So there are 2 text display gadgets? This seems inefficient. Wouldnt it have been better to incorporate those settings in the one gadget?

We did have that at one point, but it become quite unmanageable as they do quite different things.
So we split them all up so they were more simple to understand and not as overwhelming :)

Tried the dialogue displayer. Cannot get it to work. The text does not disappear when I press a button presumably because there is no setting for remote controller in this gadget.
This is what I am trying to do:
Signpost with a trigger zone prompt to press a button to see the display.
Text displays with same button press to stop displaying and go back to the original prompt.
I can do the first part. I can display the text permanently, but I cannot get it to go away with a second button press. -

In that case now I know what you are trying to do use a selector gadget and a standard text displayer.
The selector has outputs on the right side, wire the top one up to the original prompt.
wire the second output into the text display you want to see when you press a button.
Then just wire that button into the increment input on the selector gadget.
This means it will swap back and forth between the 2 as you press the button.

I'm very curious now as to what the differences are between the gadgets that made the text displayer worth leaving in...

If the Text Displayer does not have the option to "Prompt to Close" like the Dialogue Text Displayer does, then it may be worth editing that tip for Text Finished. As it is set up now, I was left rather confused as I searched and searched through the tweak menu of my Text Displayer for some way to set up the Prompt to Close button.
