Hrm? I'm not sure what you're talking about. Maybe something to do with text being asterisked out?

This is a long-standing issue; Sony require certain games to use their text censoring tech, including Dreams, and it's overzealous.

I cant really say.  Mm already censored my first post on this.  Blocked it completely.   Needless to say, it was 5 innocent movie titles that shall not be named.  Careful, some of them are rated a dangerous PG

Anything published in Dreams that violates copyright (intellectual property owned by someone else) is at risk of moderation. This includes movies, regardless of their maturity rating.

Not sure what you mean about marriage and purity, that’s a little vague.

Moderation guidelines here may be helpful: https://docs.indreams.me/en/help/moderation/guidelines

There was no copyright infringement.  It was an automated system that simply did not like the words. Normal, every day, inoffensive words.   I'd love to offer more clarity, but i would be risking violation of their censorship if i dare say.  First post that was more clear was deleted by Mm.

I've never heard of Mm removing a post on here. I've not seen a post from you about this at all, and I check this a few times a day. Posts can be made "pending" and wait for manual approval to be shown on the forum on their end, and sometimes that takes a while to go through. So that could be what is going on; maybe it got lost in the cracks.

TAPgiles UncleM_Games TAP pretty much hit the nail on the head. Your post just needed to be approved because of the language detected by the profanity filter. Although the language in your post wasn't used in a bad or negative demeanor, it still gets flagged for review. I've approved it now but I would just bear that in mind when posting in the future :)

  • TheBeardyMan

ryanw I've noticed "pending approval" on several of my comments, but found no profanity even after the third proofreading. Do the forums also flag non-english profanity embedded in words?

    Another two possibilities:

Do they flag very long comments? They don't seem to flag very long posts.

Or do they flag necro comments?

TheBeardyMan Hey there! There's a few factors that get taken into account when posting on the forum. Even if there's no profanity, the filter sometimes picks out a string of letters within a word which could be a profanity. For example: If you say 'Hello' at the beginning of a post, it sometimes takes the word 'Hell' out of it and pends it for approval.

Other times, it can also be the frequency of posts or comments that triggers it. It can be a little inconsistent at times so I do appreciate your patience as I have to manually approve them :)

Can't blame me for assuming my post was lost in to the ether, as that's some slow approval.  Especially when i was already on edge from being ridiculously censored in the first place.  Plus, it's not like we get any communication from Mm....  unless i guess if TAP calls you out.  This gets back to my original point though, you wouldnt need to waste time approving this nonsense if you ditched the auto-censoring, in favour of a complaint based system.

I do appreciate in the end, that this was dealt with and it did come through.  It's just really hard to understand this bubble wrapped world that some seem to want.

We are aware the profanity filter can be a little over the top at times. We are looking at making some improvements to it.

I appreciate you looking in to it and your response.  thank you
