Sticker: depth above, depth below
Currently there is only 1 setting that governs how far the box reaches above and below.
I would think it would be most suitable to be able to stretch "down" out the back of the text gizmo, and have the gizmo sitting "in front" of the object being projected onto. It makes it clearer what sides/surface-angles will be affected. But we can't really do that right now without having a large box above also.
Larger boxes often go over the gadget, which means grabbing the gadget and moving it, or selecting multiple text gadget to adjust them all at once, is frustratingly difficult.
Also on-stream Mm have said it takes more processing power for larger boxes for stickers to be rendered. So then the best practise would be to put the gizmo inside the middle of the object (or the surface we want to affect) and expand out the depth from there. (It's unclear if this is actually a perf concern; I haven't been able to find evidence of this. But there we go...)
So for efficiency, and also just for ease of use, it would be useful to be able to adjust above and below (or in front/behind? etc) separately. And have separate sliders for these.

When you drag the handles to resize it should not adjust from teh center of mass! Each handle should adjust the edge that it is attached to!

Yeah exactly. Though it's currently tied to a single setting, so maybe that's the problem. Hopefully they can expand this at some point.
