I haven't attempted it yet but there is a way to change the position of the sun. That might help maybe?If you set it to be directly (or as close as possible) over your room that might work

So I've been messing around some more and I can only seem to alter the focus distance and the min/max imp distance, but neither change the distance it's rotating from.
