My scene is trying to update elements that break the scene , how do i break the update link.

I want to Sever the connection to stop this.

  Go into update mode, and turn off "auto-update." If it auto-updates before you get to that menu, let it auto-update. Then go into the update menu. Turn off the auto-update, and click the "select version" button (or something like that). That should let you revert back to the version that was working.
