How to use key frames plus a mover on a creature?

I have a four-legged creature that uses key frames to move it's legs but I'm trying to get it to move forward too. I tried adding forward movements with each key frame but it always reset to the first key frame so I'm trying to use movers instead but the creature wont move? I set it to non-movable because if I don't the joints flop around. Any suggestions?

  There should be an option in the keyframe settings to stay at the keyframe's position when it is over. I think that would fix it
