Timeline problem when set to sustain
I made a reload keyframes on my character but I decided I want to add another weapon to it. So I set the timeline to sustain so that when I switch to a new weapon, the reload animation doesn't carry over to the other weapon.
However when I set the timeline to sustain, it requires me to press the square button twice (for the reloading) to reload but I only want it to do it with one button press. What's weird is that I used the same logic on a previous project and it worked fine but on this one it doesn't. Not sure if it's a bug or I'm doing something wrong.

In the video you'll notice when I set it to sustain, it will reload the first time when I press the square button, but when I press again it moves a little and not carry out the reload.

Looked like it reloaded both times to me, but perhaps I just misunderstood what was going on in the video.
"Sustain" means it will play while powered, and pause while unpowered, and resume from that point when powered again. Here's a video explaining similar settings in a music clip gadget. https://youtu.be/ha-NxNv9nH4?list=PLX3qX-yI9vm4-bcQbwdI3BalE2s3ZDoNs&t=552 -
Yeah, it reloaded fine the first time. However, when I press it the second time (0:22) it moves a little and not carrying out the reload. Might look into the whole design again to see the problem.

Okay. Not sure why it would do that unless you were holding down the reload button or whatever powers it, and then you just tapped it the second time.
In general, I'm guessing you'd probably want to set it to "once." As I explain in that tutorial, "Once" mode will play all the way to the end even if it becomes unpowered. -
Got it to work! I just set it to ''once'' which will carry out the reload. However, I added a battery to the timeline and connected it to a NOT gate to the selector (which switches the weapon) to prevent the player to switch to another weapon so it can finish its reloading without it carrying over.
Thanks for the video TAPgiles, it gave me an idea to solve the problem. :) -
Awesome ?
