Using the text tool?

I’ve seen in streams the text tool used to really cool effect (water, god-rays) but I guess I don’t understand how that’s achieved? Any tips or insights would be appreciated.

  Use a combination of the following
  
  - Turn off box shadow.
  - Add a space or something so the text box actually shows up while playing.
  - Round the corners.
  - Turn off auto-fit so you can adjust the size yourself.
  - Add a texture so the box can have faded edges. Turn up box fade. Turn down texture strength.
  - Fiddle with the box colour and opacity.
  - Turn on "in-scene" so you can place it in the world instead of it being stuck to the screen.
  - Turn on "allow rotation" so you can rotate it however you like.
