How do i make a reload animation while looking around?

In the right hand of the puppet is the weapon, how i can make a reload animation with *both* hands while i looking with R3 around? When i animate the left hand to the weapon and look for example on the ground then my left hand just stands in the mid of the puppet, so it is not following the puppet weapon.
