how do i remove an object from the puppet group?

i made an object in the puppet group and i wanna take it out of the group if i clone the object the puppet gets cloned how do i separate them?

  Grab the thing you want to take out of the group. While holding it, scope out of that group. Let go. Now it's not in the group.
  
  Same goes for adding into a group: while holding, scope in.
