How do I make UI that's not text?

There's a tool to put text on screen, I use it a lot. But I saw someone using a circle with a revolver in the middle to show what weapon I'm using.
I really want to do that, like health bars and ammo counts (not numbers)

  There is sadly no easy way to do that (yet). You need to pin the object to an invisible floating object which follows the player and has also the cam in it.
  
  You can see it here in my creation but it absolutely didnt serve my purpose and the objects are also affected by light. Please keep in mind this is unfinished but can help you hopefully
