Grouped objects and ungrouping with logic

    Turning objects "off" always makes them invisible, so that makes sense.

    I'm guessing that instead of grouping them, which is not changeable in-game, you'd have to connect them using connectors. Then you should be able to power-off the connector to make them no longer connected. Try it out with just two items, to see if the theory works, though. And turn on "x-ray" to make sure you can see the ends of the connectors, if the objects are butting up against each other.

    Invisible - things inside still function, still collides if collide is turned on.

    Off - ceases to be visible, stops colliding, and stops any internal logic - its essentially temporarily deleted, which can be useful for sure!

    an Ungroup button that can be triggered would be really neat though!
