U am constantly losing all my setting during sculpting. I will try to pull back in the menu so I can adjust the looseness and the next thing I know I am back to a default brown cube.
I am constantly having to go into the pallet and re pick my color and redo all the tweaks that I had done. I assume I am doing something wrong with the UI but it is very time consuming and frustrating when it’s was hard to find the tweak the first time. Is there a custom pallet that I can create that will not keep resetting on me?

Hi,
That is surprising -- your brush should usually retain its settings. There are two things which might reset you back to the default cube:
- Leaving Sculpt Mode, then re-entering it by going to Modes > Sculpt in the palette.
- Clicking the Start New Sculpture button on the right-hand side of the screen while you're in Sculpt Mode.
Are you doing either of those things? If not, would it be possible for you to create a post in the Dreams Bugs section on the forum, detailing exactly what steps you're doing when the brush settings get reset.
Thanks!

I probably am leaving the sculpt mode. I have been sculpting some then painting on it, then sculpting some more. Is this not a viable work flow?

When you scope back into a sculpt, your brush settings shouldn't reset, so switching back and forth between the two modes shouldn't be an issue.
It will only reset your settings if you start a new Sculpture, by either clicking the Sculpt Mode button in the palette, or the Start New Sculpture button from within Sculpt Mode.

How do you get back into sculpt from painting without clicking the sculpt button?

Sorry if this a stupid question but I am really struggling with what seems like a basic thing. If I am in sculpt mode and leave it to go into paint mode how do I leave paint mode and then enter back into sculpt mode if not by hitting the sculpt button. I don’t want my settings and colors to reset.

You can re-enter an existing sculpt by hovering over it and using L1+X to scope into it, or by selecting it and pressing the Scope In button on the right hand edge of the screen.

Thanks. So if I am in sculpt mode and want to paint it then I exit sculpt mode and then I hit the paint mode button. But once I am in paint mode I have to stay in there have and not exit and hit the the sculp mode button. and only use L1+X from within the paint mode?
