A powerful sculpting technique is cloning existing shapes. However, cloning the maximum number shapes requires a very large number of presses one the “more clones” button and it is quite tedious. Adding the ability to press and hold to create more clones would be a huge quality of life improvement.

    Great idea as long as it was perfectly balanced so as to not make single press mode quirky!

    Another good option would be to assign the two spare buttons during copy mode, to add 10 clones at a time. Or maybe use these spare buttons to increase/decrease the number of clones per button press. So usually you press and one clone is added. If you press the new button a few times it will cycle through some quantities. 1, 2, 5, 10, 20.. now when you press the normal clone buttons, that many are added!

    I believe they made it that way it does take a certain latency to produce each clone by design

    I think the best solution that will suit everyone is to create an additional menu in which you can choose: how the clone button will work now, and how many clones it will add at a time.

    This way will not have to change the control.
