Keyframe Objects Into Different Groups.

It would be extremely useful to be able to change what group an object is in with a keyframe. Character interactions with objects they pick up would be so much easier. I'm not sure what goes on behind the scenes to group objects, so I don't know how difficult it would be to implement.

  That would be cool...

  I find that just teleporting an object to a tag in the other group works perfectly. And the outcome is exactly the same as it being in the group (for this case at least).
