Creation unplayable due to an unexpected error! Please provide a solution!
Dear Media Molecule Team,
I recently released the game Amazing Animals, but unfortunately, it is currently unplayable due to an error. This is particularly disheartening for me as I have dedicated over two years of intense work to this title.
Yesterday, a Dreams member brought to my attention that the file for the game I uploaded is not accessible ("Game broken. Says cannot find file"). I am unsure if this issue is related to the server migration or if it existed prior to that. Despite the game being playable on my local PlayStation, I am unable to publish new versions. Sometimes, I encounter an "Unexpected Error" message, and other times, it indicates that I am using private versions of creations that I do not have access to. When I investigate which creations these are, I see that they are deleted creations without any designation.
Dear Media Molecule Team, I truly hope that you can assist me in making the game playable, as any other outcome would be a bitter disappointment. To work on a game for so long and then not be able to share it with others is a significant blow that is difficult to endure, which is why I am reaching out for your support. I would be immensely grateful if you could help resolve this issue.
Here is the link to my creation, Amazing Animals:

Hi LegendaryAndre
Thanks for posting this! I've raised this with the team to look into! -
Hi LegendaryAndre
So that we can take a further look into this for you, would you mind please confirming a few things for us. Can you please let us know what you're seeing between the title screen and chapter 1? Could you also please let us know whether you have a local version of this scene you've somehow released as playable? -
Thank you for the prompt response! :) Between the title screen and Chapter 1, there is the level "Amazing Animals - Tutorial," where all versions suddenly appear as locally saved. When I try to publish the scene online, it doesn't work: the "Save and Publish" option is unavailable because it contains locally saved content for which I do not have the rights (my own scenes, maybe deleted?). In private creations, the following scenes are displayed (without images): Characters, Characters (both my own creations) and six empty creations ("Creation not available"). I'm also unable to save the scene online as private.
The tutorial is an essential part of the game, and I hope you can find a way to salvage it somehow! -
Thanks for getting back to me LegendaryAndre
We've had a look but we can't see the tutorial scene anywhere, Could you please try and save the tutorial scene as private to the server and then try to send us an indreams link to it? -
I am unable to save either a private or a public scene, but there is an older, unfinished version that was saved as a private online element. The element is called Amazing Animals - Tutorial 1 (old). Release date 27th April 2023 - 10:00 PM
The element can only be edited locally now although it is shown as online private. Saving it online is not possible anymore, and it refers to the same private creations that are blocking the process (and have already been deleted). Maybe you can remove the existing links to those elements so I am able release it or save it otherwise?
Unfortunately, I cannot link the element through the InDreams website because it is not being displayed here (only on Playstation). -
I was able to place the file that was saved as online private into a scene and save it online. Please let me know if the game is now functioning and the levels are playable! I had to redo some parts of the tutorial and I'm not completely finished yet, but the most important thing is that it runs smoothly.

Hi LegendaryAndre
Thanks for getting back to me! That's great news, I'll have a check today and see how it runs! -
Thank you! That's very kind! Great support, just as I expected from Media Molecule! :) I hope it runs smoothly. You probably have the option to test it scene by scene anyway, but if not, there's the option to hold down the L2 button for 6 seconds in each level to skip scenes.

LegendaryAndre
Hello again! Despite it seemingly working as expected now, we would still like to investigate this further on our end. In order to do this, we would need your save data. If you're happy for us to look into this, would you mind please sending in a ticket so that I can send you the link and instructions on how to do this? You can submit a ticket here; https://indreams.me/support -
Thank you! I have just done that. Please provide instructions on how to upload the files.

Hello
I have the same problem. When trying to save online (as private) or launch a public version of my creation, I can't do it because apparently I don't have permissions for a certain scene, but I can't find out what it is. In the two online options I get an exclamation mark that supposedly should tell me which creations are problematic, but when I click on it, I get another screen with a gray "globe" with the forbidden symbol and a message that says that "the creation is not available."
If I look at the creations that I am using from the "update" mode inside the edit mode, I see them all correctly. with their miniatures.
I have tried to create a dream and put that scene into the dream and release it. At first everything was fine, but at the moment of truth I get another error message that says I don't have permissions for the scene (letters and numbers), and it turns me back.
The funny thing is that I have saved online versions for two weeks that I can "download" them, and without making any changes, I try to save it online again and I get the error again.
I'm desperate. I don't want to think that I've wasted two years of work!!
I have an online version saved in case you need to access the creation. Just tell me what you need.
The scene I supposedly don't have access to is "o8980963f46a64e"
I have submitted a ticket (4121)
