Keyframe, action recorder and scope / travel
Hi!
So, I spent quite some time to make a block that can be pushed around on a grid with an action recorder ("Block Pushing on grid" if anyone's curious). The issue is it's pretty ugly. To get a precise movement I used the grid, and the block just teleports.
I tried using a keyframe but I guess keyframes just records states differently.
So, I have two question:
- Is it possible for a keyframe to record a position relative to an object and not the world? Basically acting like the "travel" option for action recorder? It kinda acts that way for animating puppets, so I wonder if I missed something. I tried grouping keyframes or scoping in the object, but it always move to the same position while in play mode.
- Is there an option or something to make some kind of blend in the action recorder? Or more generally any way to edit the recorded action? (like, I recorded a move for each side, but some have a little delay that would be easier to cut rather than re-recording until I have the same timing for each)

As far as I know, there's no way to edit an action recorder (other than to retake, or restart the timeline and record additional changes).
I'm not sure, but you could try getting relative movement by grouping the object to be moved with another sculpt that you later turn invisible. -
Try and put the Action Recorder into a Timeline, so you can trim and even blend their start and end.
Hope this helps

Thanks, I can indeed edit the Action Recorder in a Timeline, but for some reason after the first movement, the cube goes back one square to redo the move (I tried looping back at the start on completion but this still happens).
I think I'll try another approach, I feel like I'm overcomplicating things :)
