Is it possible to make a split screen game?

  • Elijah6133

    I hope this is possible

Last I heard you could only have one active camera in the game. I do think this capability should be added though. Dreams would be nice for couch-coop mini games that'd use this feature.

  • pulsate

Yes because I kinda got the impression that you could do anything with dreams.

Technically no but where there's a will there is a way :)

  • davidnorth100

I don't think having sufficient will is going to do it in this case. You're looking at a hard limitation of the tools, just like we couldn't make something like Her Story because video isn't supported.

    Good luck olit123 :)

This is one of the features I would most like to see added. I want to remake the 2.5D magic brawler game I just finished in LBP3 with a first person mode, but right now it's only possible to have one player in Dreams' current state.

I have an idea on how to make in-game screens using the raycasts, but I'm sure it would cause insane lag.

i think you would have to create 2 of the identical scenes and make sure the characters are running the exact same logic on scene 1 as scene 2. you could place scene 1 on the top and scene 2 on the bottom of the camera view. wouldnt be able look up or down is the only thing

I guess this depends on what kind of image quality you need. I can imagine that people will build their own ingame screens (small cubes as pixels that you control by the input). And then you can show anything you need...
