Should I provide an exit door on the 'end screen' of my game?

I’d recommend using an exit door because that way will give the player a more direct prompt to give a thumbs up :)

Ah that is interesting... I think in this case though, it may not be necessary. The game is very long (a puzzle game with 30 levels) and I do not expect anyone to finish it on first try! (or even at all for most players; it's very hard toward the end) Anyone who makes it to the end will likely have saved the dream, and given a thumbs up already.

Good tip for future projects, though!

I think it's generally "polite" to actually boot the player out, even if it's after they press a button to do so. Plus, that exit can be used inside other dreams, plus it can be used in dream surfing.

Plus plus, it gives Dreams a clear indication that someone completed your game as opposed to quit halfway through. Unclear how that could affect things, but some Mm folks advocate for exit doorways because it gives this signal.
