Maybe there are to many detailed objects in your scene ...you could check with the sculpture detail tool if this is causing the overheat?

It's hard to tell without seeing the level though

Basically, things slow down when the engine has to do too many things at once.

For example, it has to draw everything on the screen. So see if it's only when viewing things at a certain angle, or when certain collections of things are on-screen at the same time. It's very good at only drawing stuff it needs to, but paintings are particularly difficult to calculate when they're all behind one another.

Too much logic going on at once can be an issue too, or perhaps too many audio sources playing at once, but most of the time it's graphics. And with graphics, most of the time it's too much separate paintings shown behind other separate paintings.

Are you seeing the snail icon above your thermometer? If you click on that it will often say what the problem is - but not always. I’ve had issues with too much animated paint. Also I know too many Moveable sculpts can be a problem

Thanks I’ll check some of these things and post.

It turned out that it was the puppet that was causing the problems even tho he’s just an ornament at this stage , I think I’ll have to skin him somehow to just keep is body and leave the mechanics.
