How do I stop my character running and jumping to his death?

  • skillphiliac

Tell us what you did in the level/puppet or release it for us to take a look at.

Sounds like you put a mover on it or changed the controls to fire automatically, something along those lines. That or you have overlapping geometry, which in Dreams' physics engine would mean that the bodies repel each other, quite violently in fact.

But do make use of the easy-to-share nature of Dreams, it's just as easy to link from indreams.me to make it even more comfortable for players to test your stuff.

Sounds like it's trying to follow something,
If you tweak it and go to the page with the follow options and turn them all off, hopefully that will fix it

So (I think) it was a backpack that I was trying to attach with a connector and it would collide with the character sending him on a run to his death. I had to forgo the secondary animation and just group it to the back

Now that’s sorted I’m trying to fix the puppet movements that have broke. Is there a timeline view for the default animations? Or a reset all positions? I’m not sure how I broke it

'@skillphilliac good point (with the sharing side of things). I should have done that before I gave up for the night...3:30am time just flew by. Lol

Woke up in the morning and realised I can copy the logic from a default puppet.

Super enjoying this, I just have to get a handle on how to animate (which is more my background) once that clicks I should be golden
