How do I: Properly reposition a puppet?
Hi.
I have bean fiddling around with the stretch tool on the puppet and I am trying to adjust it's proportions to an existing model I created with very strict measurements.
It's going good so far, but I am starting to get some obstacles.
You have made a verry handy function where you use a IK handel to grow and shrink the entire limb of the puppet, but now I just need to scale and reposition only the forearm.
But I don't know how as I can only scale either the entire arm or the upper arm.
Do you know what I can do about this?
-
Also the distance between the shoulders and neck seams to be fixed.
Which also might be a problem. -
Hi,
If when scoped into the puppet you press triangle on any limb you can reposition it independently of anything else.
To help you visualise this turn on the joint visibility in the visibility menu
John -
Thanks.
That works for the arms.
But now I have visualised the joints, I can see another problem:
The neck joint is positioned wrong compared to the shoulders.
I tried to move them but I can't grab them.
I can only grab the physical parent objects.
So how do I move those?
Btw if that is not possible.
Please make it a feature. -
hi,
you can just gab the joint middle (the purple bit) and move it :)
John -
Really.
Than somehow it won't let me.
Maybe it's a bug? -
O wait I see the problem.
I was trying to do this with the stretch tool on, but this function was ment only for the move tool.
Still it has a flaw where I need to zoom in so the model of the puppet turns invisible to be able to grab it.
Thanks anyway hope you can report this last bit. :) -
Also the joints do become selectable trough the model after you turn on xray gadgets.
Not just joints.
