Can't publish a remixed vehicle because it contains a private creation.
I want to remix and publish a rolling sphere vehicle made by cutterrojo. When I go to publish I see "can't release as public. Contains private creations." when I click that message I see "this creation contains the following private creations that you don't own. If you want yo release this creation as public you must delete them." then I see a red hexagon with a 🚫 symbol in the centre and I don't know what to do from here.
How do I just get this published? The messages on screen aren't clear to me, I can't see what I should do next.

I also lost all my version text description when I backed out a screen. It would be great if that text remained there right up until you either publish or cancel back to the create/exit screen.

OK so when I check the genealogy of my remix it says the original has been deleted. My understanding about deletion is that a deleted creation that was public still exists but the owner has made it private, is that right? I've contacted the owner about this.

Yes, Aratiatia is exactly right. This feature is in place to protect players creations from becoming remixed by everyone if they are set to private or playable.
The solution is for the creator of the private elements to save these parts as public and remixable.
It feels a little complicated but it’s all in place to protect creators work that they don’t want to be readily available to everyone. Hope this makes sense :)
Also I made a super simple ball controller called Marble which should be available to remix and doesn’t contain any private elements if this helps.

Thanks Peter, makes sense. I'll check out your marble - what is your psn name? I've since made my own from scratch so it'll be interesting to see how you made yours.

Is there any way to know which part is private? I need to delete one out of my creation but I have no idea which thing is giving me trouble..

I am having the same issue how in the world do you find out which element is private!
