How Do I: Change the time signature of a song?

  • domno666

Figured it out, for those interested you simply go into the timeline's settings and go to the beat & sidebar tab. From there just move the "Metre Numerator" slider to whatever number you want to be. If you want to change it to something like 4/8 you just change the "Metre Denominator". Basically the Numerator option changes the first number and the denominator the second.

Thank you, I was struggling with bom yesterday.. seemed like each instrument had its own bpm, and adjusting it was nigh impossible to get right.. getting 90 instead of 89.3 or 88.6 or whatever, pretty tricky. I’m hoping theres a technique for making exact numbers that I just haven’t found yet.

You should never really change the BPM of instruments unless you really have to MostlySquares. They are all locked to the timeline's tempo, and you should always change the BPM there. Changing individual sounds's BPM is like a sort of relative change, which can be useful for odd effects or stretching sounds, or playing patterns twice as fast/slow, etc. Also don't forget you can use the d-pad up/down button to increment the sliders accurately, it should be possible to lock it to integer tempos.
