Keeping the workbench clean
-
Normally, you'd edit the creation and upload it as a new version. That way all the versions of that thing are shown as 1 file. You can add notes to versions too, to be able to get back to different ones easily enough.
The profile > my creations list shows all local copies. You can delete local copies using the delete button.
It also shows all online versions even if they have no local copy, as online versions will always be there. You can however use the "archive" button to archive creations, hiding them from you and other players who look at your my creations list. It also makes them "unlisted." But they'll still show up in things like collections.
So you can use that to your advantage, adding a creation to a collection, and then archiving the creation to hide it everywhere *apart from* that collection. Just note that as it is hidden from my creations, you cannot search for it to find it through my creations. You can however go to its cover page and make it "listed" again, so that you and others can find it through a normal dreamiverse search.
I have a tutorial on all of this stuff, to help you learn how it works: https://youtu.be/YCrRfCpj_xE

Just a word of warning about archiving, unlisting and putting things in collections instead in order to "tidy up your profile".
Unlisted creations cannot be searched for. The only place they will turn up is in a collection made before it was unlisted. It will vanish from playlists. It will vanish from Dream Surfing. It will vanish from your profile playlist. If your creation features in a prominent playlist like Most thumbed up it will disappear from there. I am not 100% sure it remains in Mm curated lists if unlisted either as they are not the same as collections.
Most unlisted creations get zero plays after they are unlisted. If you made a kick ass FPS and someone new to Dreams is looking for one they might type in FPS to search for one. Your game if unlisted will never present itself to the new Dreamer - and they dont know you so are highly unlikely to go to your profile and look for your portfolio collection. Dreamers may remember your game and want to play it. If you unlist it and they type the name of your game into search they will get zero results - the search does not look at collection entries. If they go to your profile they may not find your collection where the game is hidden. My advice. DO NOT UNLIST COMPLETED GAMES YOU WANT PEOPLE TO PLAY.
