Prize Bubble collection outputs
A couple of simple outputs would open up huge possibilities for sharing information between games, etc.
First, "Prize Collected in Dream." This would send a signal if the player (or any of the players) have collected that prize from the same dream. You might have 20 "coin" bubbles in a scene, but once you've collected one "coin" as a prize, that element is unlocked. So they would all send a signal from this output, and even "coin" bubbles in other scenes. So, it's not for emitting bubbles, or working out which specific bubbles have been collected or not; just if the prize has been collected by the player from this dream at all.
Second, "Prize Collected." This would send a signal if the player has unlocked that element as a prize--from anywhere in the dreamiverse! This is already tracked by Dreams for the creation menus. But if we had this output, we could auto-equip an item the player found in another game. Or unlock a hat they picked up from another game in this game's character creation.
You could also use it to simply indicate that "this player has completed such-and-such a game." They get the cool prize to use in their own creations... but other creators can look out for that, and congratulate them! Or in a sequel game, they would know that the player has completed their previous game--and skip the controls tutorial, or have a character say hello as if they'd met them before.
So this would essentially be a shared pool of cross-dream variables for all players. But simply using the existing infrastructure and prize-tracking system.
Cross-promotion could become prevalent, encouraging the player to go and play "that other game and win gold on such-a-track." Then come back and present their gold cup to the king in a fantasy game!
It would also encourage creators to use prize bubbles in a meaningful way... and not just for creators to use their elements, but for players too as badges of honour, and even to progress in other games.
