Stop Seeing Through Sculptures
When your camera clips an object, it makes that object invisible so long as the camera remains clipped. While this can help with visibility, it's not so helpful if these objects are supposed to obscure your view. In my case, I want to make some undergrowth and foliage that will make it harder to see and navigate if you walk into deep jungle, However, when your camera is obscured by the undergrowth, the sculptures disappear. In order to cut down the number sculptures needed, I've sculpted a patch of assorted plants as a single sculpture which I can easily replicate to create a large swath but this also means that entire sculpture is rendered invisible if your camera clips it (negating its purpose). My two solutions have been to have 2 of my scluptures in the same patch but at slightly different rotations so even if you clip one the other is still visible and blocking your view. Alternatively, I could create a jungle patch with paintings which do not have these problems but it will be more 2-dimensional. My question is whether there is any way to make it so sculptures remain visible even when your camera clips them or if this is a built-in feature of the game?

The thing is, the inside of a sculpt is empty, so it doesn't have to store data about nothingness inside. So there is nothing to see.
Like sticking your head in water... you don't see the water. You see whatever else is also inside the water.
Sounds like you just want the screen to go black in certain areas, right? So you could use a wiper to make the screen go black at those times, instead of using a black sculpt.

Ah, Ok. I wish it would handle that by just seeing inside the sculpt rather than the entire sculpture going invisible. But that's a good idea with the wiper. I'll give that a try. Thanks!

What would the "inside" of a sculpt look like, do you think? Like... what does the inside of a solid steel beam look like? Nothing, right? You'd see nothing at all. That's why I thought of the wiper, to have the same effect.
