Sound Recorder not working with USB mic

I have a USB mic connected to my PS4, and I'm trying to record vocals with it. I know the mic itself is working, because I can hear it through the PS4 when checking the audio levels. And when I place the sound recorder and start doing it, I can see the ring about the imp moving. It's clearly picking up sound. But when I hit stop recording, or the recording finishes, the Sound Recorder disappears as if there was no audio. What the hell is going on?
