Why can't the puppet move when set to non-moveable?
I've been curious about this for a while, non-moveable objects can be moved by movers, but the puppet can't use the default movement (run/walk), so I assume the puppet does not use movers.
If not, what does it use? Could it be that it runs on force appliers, or maybe keyframes somehow?

The puppet is its own thing. It reacts to movers and such, if it's left as movable. I think the "movable" requirement is so that it reacts to physics, and collisions, and therefore it can collide with the ground and use that to figure out where to put its feet and animate properly.
