"Mesh Swapping" how to select each one.

Also do each one need their own "joint" or "bolt" to keep them on the body? or will the single bolt/joint work for all versions of the head.

I think if all the heads are the same layout, a hidden head ball (just a sphere sculpt ) can be used for one joint and then have each head scoped in to the ball and placed correctly, then you'll only need one bolt.

For the best way to select a item in the same space... well, I'd like to hear ideas also. Its a possible way is to hook it up to a remote control which will visible off / on on button press as required while playing time in edit mode, assuming you don't have show hidden on.

For cycling through I would probably use keyframes on a timeline with visible / collide settings. No doubt there are more ways though.

Use the Grid to move them aside and work comfortably, so you can move them back into position exactly where they were.

One way to do mesh swap is to make them not visible by default. Then create a Keyframe for each one of them that switches their visibility ON.

You just need to keep all the different heads inside the Head group, which is jointed to the neck, and it should behave as expected.

    Have fun :)
