How do I create a lock on target?

  • madduey

You need a tag and a look at rotator have it set to look at tag and powered on with whatever button you want to lock on with.

That should get you what you want :)

Thanks for the reply, so I've done as you said, but without any result. I'm probably missing something obvious.

So I've put a look at rotator in my puppet logic, set the tag to 3.
Tag 3 is in my enemy puppet logic.

did you set the range to global or in the range?

  • TenakaObi

I'm not sure what you mean.

Not got access to my ps4 at the minute but but in the either the puppet or controller sensor tweak menu isnt there also an option to look at tag? Ill have to check when i get chance

Im puppet tweek menu settings tab 5 theres a turn towards tweak option. Name wat you want it to turn towards and add the corresponding tag to what you want it to turn towards.
Tweak radious to desired wire the button you want to use to activate it directly to it. That should do it

madduey, that only affects the puppet not the camera. the puppet will turn but not the camera.

madduey, i must say thank you for helping me discover this. If you attach a camera to the puppet and do what madduey said it should work. The only thing is I don't know how to move the camera like the default one in the puppet so unless you figure out how to do this, the camera will be stuck in the position you put it in. If you want the lock on to toggle use a selector. The switch as of typing this does not toggle when you send a pulse.

In a scenario with more than one enemy in range how would I get the character to switch target, preferably to the closest target?
