Is there a way to sequence music a la LBP2?
I was hoping to be able to add notes to the music templates much like you could in LBP2. Is there a way in which this can be done here?

If you create a timeline, you can add music clips to it. And you can make your own loops by scoping into clips. Then you can press L1 + Touchpad to go into the piano roll mode and edit the notes directly.

I'd recommend going through the audio/music tutorial. It does a good job of getting you started.
(Sorry if my explanation didn't cover your question; I've only seen a little LBP2 music stuff on Youtube.)
