How do I put text on an object
I want to pay respects to the people who aren’t in the beta, so pretty much I’m making a gravestone saying
“Rip non-newsletter-ers” or something like that. How do I put have that written on my object?

Hey! If you go to the components menu, then open Movers and Outputs, you'll find a Test Displayer gadget! You can use that to place text any a variety of ways, including in 3D in the level (you might need to turn something on in its tweak menu).

To put text on your gravestone you can place a text gadget in the scene, write text on it, go to the 5th page of tweaks and set it to "in scene" then surface snap the gadget to the object. You can change the text box settings (opacity etc) on first tweak page of the gadget.
