Best way to manage listed assets
Is it true that asset creators or basically anyone publishing on the Dreamiverse is limited to 1 GB of “Listed” stuff? I needed to archive to free up local space in Dreams but surprisingly am forced to “Unlist” stuff.

No. There is a limit on how many creations can be stored locally, and how much data that can take up locally. You can upload any amount of stuff you want. You can upload things, and delete the local copy.

Ok, if instead of deleting local copies, you archive and forcibly “Unlist” them does this publicly “Unlist” them or just locally?

Archiving includes unlisting, it’s basically deep storage for your creations. Unlisted means no one else can see it. You don’t have to achieve, you do need to delete local saves after making sure they’re saved online. If you archive but don’t delete local saves, you will still run out of local space.
An important point to know is that when you “save version to PS4” multiple times, each save is adding to the local space used. If you save online, delete the local save (that deletes ALL the local versions), and then make a new local save from the online version - that give you just one version locally and takes a lot less space. So if you need to have a local save for offline editing, that’s a good way to minimize the file size. -
Thank you. So what is archive useful for? Is it when you have unpublished stuff that you don’t anticipate working on for awhile but aren’t quite ready to entirely delete?
-
Online saves can’t be deleted, only local saves. Archive is just for when you’ve got something you don’t want to see in your creations list, whereas making a creation unlisted means that other people don’t see it in your profile but you still do.
It’s worth noting that if you have creations in a Collection, and archive those creations, they still appear in the Collection. If for example you’ve made 100 different assets for a single project, you can place them all in a collection and then archive those 100 individual assets, and then only view them through the Collection so you don’t have those 100 different things all sitting there in your creation list. -
I have a tutorial explaining how all that works by the way :D

Thanks to both of you for your detailed explanations!
