How do i change the size of a freely moving object?
What I'm trying to do is changing the size of an object while it's influenced by gravity and colliding with other objects. For this matter I used a timeline containing two keyframes, one for the small und one for the bigger version of the object, smoothing the change over time. But when I save the changed size, the position of the object gets saved in the keyframe as well, making it immobilized during the change of size.
I'm not even sure if changing the size during free movement is even possible, because other values (like weight) change as well. I just think it would be nice to let objects shrink and disappear even if I can't predict position and movement.
Thanks for reading :)

Add a microchip beside the object then select the chip & the object and group them.
Scope into the group and add one keyframe to the chip.
Record the size change on the keyframe and use slow power up and down in the keyframe tweak menu to control the gradual size increase & decrease as you'd like.
Doing it this way means the keyframe records positional data within the group rather than the whole scene.
Let me know if it works for you -
Hi CLOUD1985, thank you for your answer!
I tried to follow your suggestion and it's not quite what i wanted. The scoped in keyframe works fine if the object movement is steady and even if it's recorded by an animation recorder. But if i try this with a moveable object like a bouncy ball for example, the object keeps the current speed and orientation while shrinking (activated keyframe) and resumes normal behaviour towards gravity when the keyframe deactivates.
That said, i learned some more things about animations. I'm still struggling when it comes down to decide in witch layer i should animate a puppet, use keyframes and make objects moveable or collidable. So thank you anyway :)
