Why does attaching joints make the child moveable?
I've just been playing around with bolts to see how they are affected by stuff and one thing surprised me. After connecting to bits together, I set the child to be non-moveable, thinking something would go wrong, but it was fine.
I was still able to use the joint, and the two still seemed to be connected with no problem.
So I'm just wondering what the logic is behind forcing child objects to become moveable when using joints?

I doing animations, I’ve had to change a LOT of child objects to not be moveable. I think depending on what it is your making, it might be an option you’d want, but I’m not sure it makes sense as a default :)

Me neither. I'm making a helicopter and most of the time I still need to turn it off.
Don't think it's necessarily an issue, but do think that the tutorial info should make it clear that you're free to make things not moveable. The way the information was presented made it sound like children MUST be moveable in order to work with the joints correctly.
