Rotate grabcam around center of grabbed object (ds4)
When using the R1 grabcam on an object, the camera rotates around the point on the object's surface that I grabbed. Let's say this is in sculpt mode where I want to carefully around the entire surface of the object to see if things are lining up right. Because the rotation is around the surface of the object, the object wobbles closer and farther away from the camera along with the rotation, making it disorienting for fine examinations.

One way to accomplish this is by making tools in the game itself: this scene has examples of physical objects that can help you control sculpture rotation in edit mode.

Here's a dream with the previous scene as well as new ideas:

The most recent (and best, IMO) idea in the dream so far is small glowing spheres you can grab and teleport your sculptures onto to rotate. -
I should also add that there is a limited way to do this without needing any helper objects: rotate the object until you can grab a point that is on the axis of rotation you want, then rotate away from that point to look at the part of the object you want. But you can't see all of the object this way. e.g. if you grab the top of a head to rotate the head on the horizontal plane, you won't be able to see the bottom of the head.
