What does it mean when a node turns blue?

I have a node on a microchip that turns blue when I'm sending it a signal

It's not a fat wire input it's just a number based on joystick position so between -1 and 1

Other nodes don't turn blue when I'm sending numbers through them.

Does this colour change signify anything?

HI,
It means it's receiving a negative signal. Negative signals cause the gadgets colours to invert.
