controller sensor how do you separate the up/down/left/right analog signals?

the cable itself only has 2 wires and if i use 1 splitter i can get left and right but up and down also trigger left and right is there no way to get 4 wires for 4 directions from the analog sticks?

  Hi there!
  
  You can use multiple splitters to break down the wires even more, so if you put another splitter into the X wire that you've created with your splitter you'll get positive and negative values which are then X split into two :)
