Is there a way to have the background change colors randomly?
So basically what i want to do is create a machine of sorts that changes the color of the background randomly. But I dont see any inputs or outputs on the sky gadget or a way to add a microchip to it.

I believe there are inputs and outputs in the tweak menu. There should be one for the sky colour, etc. that you can plug input into.
And to generate a random colour, there are microchips you can use created by the community. For example, I used one and made a minor tweak to it: https://indreams.me/element/b029ri-0bi4 XD
