100% thermo already
I have built an Arctic base and a few out buildings and my thermo is 100%. This despite reducing the sculpt detail as much as possible and cloning numerous simple flat shapes for walls and roofing etc.
What have I done wrong here? This is a picture of the base which has rooms inside but nothing in them. I don't understand how something so simple ca use up so much thermo.

So what I've noticed is sometimes one scultpt r out of all of them will cause a problem.
Was there one object that instead of using just a few peices you sculpted peice by peice close up. I notice for example when I sculpt a ear or a hand where I use hundreads of tiny small peices blended even if I shrink it very small and put it into one of my dreams it takes a insane amount of thermo.
So if there's one peice like that reduce the detail in that one peice and duplicates of it.
I notice also for example if I have one high detail sculpt that takes up 30% and I copy it it doesn't go up 60 but instead like 10. And if I delete the original but keep the copy it goes down 10 not 30
So once the game gets one version of a sculpt it takes less on copis but if you reduce the original you have to reduce the copies as well or else is not going to help as much -
How much thermo is that giant flat white piece taking up?

'@Aecert Not much amazingly. It seems to be the small sections that are doing the damage.
@wolverine7811 That's interesting. I think there are a few pieces in my level like that. I will see if that helps.
I watched one of the online tips and tricks video and have started making huge shapes and then shrunk them down and used them to start replacing walls and roofs. It seems to be working. My thermo is now down to 89%. -
building your level out of modules is definitely the way to go.
