Control a poking finger?
Basically, the idea I have is not to control the in-game character directly but have it be manipulated by an in-game finger. So, I want the finger to move just one way using the L2 button (I intend to use the sensitivity). Then, when you release L2 the finger moves back to its default position.
The tutorials were excellent but it never really delved into controls and directly operating other objects outside of possessing an already established character.
I figure... maybe the piston gear would be good for this? But I'm not sure how exactly because the piston gear example in the tutorials is about Connie standing on a button to operate it.
Thanks for any help.

Check out the controller gadget - theres a option on last (or near last) tab for remote control operation. You should be able to connect this up.

Hi,
This is actually quite easy.
Grab your finger sculpt and place it I. The "back" position,
Grab a keyframe and move it to the "forward" position.
Then just wire R2 from a remote controlled "control sensor" into the keyframe.
Now the more you press R2 the more the finger will point.
Pro tip add some smoothing on the keyframe tweak menu.
